54 artists participated in this year's Quickdraw.  Even with rain coming down for most of the painting period, spirits were high and the art that was produced is beautiful.

Final entry in the list of this year's artists.

Hope to see you all in May!

Haidee-Jo Summers (Lincolnshire, England) – Florida’s Forgotten Coast Invitational is pleased to introduce Haidee-Jo Summers, who was awarded Artist of the Year 2012 by the SAA and selected by the BBC to paint the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant. A writer, teacher, and full-time professional artist who paints landscapes and seascapes ‘en plein air’, as well as portraits, Haidee has won many prizes including several at the prestigious Royal Institute of Oil Painters in London. She studied at York College of Arts and Technology and Leicester and her work is in private collections throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. “I am a painter of light and colour, dedicated to the practice of working from life. I strive to produce vibrant work with fresh, painterly brushstrokes.”  www.haideejo.com

Shelby Keefe (Milwaukee, WI) - Joining the Forgotten Coast Invitational for the first time is Shelby Keefe, a contemporary impressionistic painter with a BFA from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI. After retiring from a career in graphic design in 2005, she operates her own art studio and exhibition space and is known for her award-winning urban landscape paintings. Her oil paintings are found in numerous private and public collections, such as The Bradley Foundation, Acuity, Northwestern Mutual, Ozaukee Country Club, WE Energies, and the University School of Milwaukee. "I'm attracted to scenes where the subjects are dramatically lit, which adds vibrancy and a sense of immediacy to the paintings. I like to apply the oils freely and liberally over brilliant acrylic underpaintings, creating a juxtaposition of contrasting colors that vibrate and elicit emotional engagement as well as excite the eye.”  www.studioshelby.com

Dawn Whitehall (Nashville, TN) – Joining us once again, Dawn was featured in American Art Collector and was one of ten women artists invited to exhibit in “Inspiring Figures” at the Butler Institute of American Art. She frequently holds workshops and exhibits, including a show at the Huntsville Museum of Art. A member of Plein Air Painters of the Southeast, American Impressionist Society, and Portrait Society of America, Whitelaw recently had a painting accepted into the permanent collection of the Rahr-West Art Museum.   http://www.dawnwhitelaw.com
