Be a Sponsor or Patron
Dear Art Patron and Sponsor:
As Chairman of the Executive Sponsorship Committee for the 2011 Florida's Forgotten Coast Plein Air Invitational, I am writing this letter to respectfully request your valuable participation in this coming spring’s event. The "Great Paint-out", to be held May 13-22, 2011, combines the strengths of all the coastal communities from Mexico Beach to Alligator Point to produce the most collaborative and comprehensive event in the region. Promotion for the paint-out will extend throughout the nation and will target the art community in the Southeast. A combined marketing effort that includes the Gulf County and Franklin County TDCs, the Mexico Beach CDC, Coastal Vision 3000/The Beach, Florida Travel and Life Magazine, the Gulf County and Apalachicola Bay Chambers of Commerce and the St. Joe Company will ensure your support maximum exposure. This event has become the premier art event in Northwest Florida. Attendance is expected to exceed 5,000 art enthusiasts who appreciate and value the history, culture and natural wonders of our coastal communities.
To give you a little background on past Plein Air Paint-outs, the event began under the guidance and direction of Mr. Richard Carrell, a successful veteran of the art industry who retired to Mexico Beach. Since 2006, this annual event has far exceeded all expectations in participation and sales. The success of the Plein Air Paint-out is directly related to the support from regional and local business leaders, like yourself, as well as over 200 devoted volunteers and the premium quality of national artist who come from as far as Maine, California and New England.
Thanks to broad enthusiasm for plein-air, supporters and volunteers of “The Great Paint-out” have formed a new 501c3 non-profit organization called The Forgotten Coast Cultural Coalition specifically to coordinate the multi-community event. Also known as the Cultural Coalition, the Forgotten Coast Cultural Coalition empowers area organizations to be participating partners and event proceeds have been granted to participating organizations, such as Gulf Alliance for Local Arts and Franklin County Education Foundation, that support and promote arts education in the region.
I have enclosed a complete list of patron and sponsorship benefits for your perusal. Also included is a schedule of events, the participating artist roster, a copy of last year's buyers' guide, a print-out of our website homepage and one of our many press releases. Please review our evolving website, www.pleinairfl.com.
It would be a great honor to include your business as a 2011 Plein Air Sponsor or Patron. On behalf of the Cultural Coalition and the Florida's Forgotten Coast Plein Air Invitational Committee, I thank you for your time and consideration. Please feel free to contact me in Gulf County at (850)227-7891 or Joe Taylor in Franklin County at (850)323-0176 if you would like more information.
Most Sincerely,
Libia Taylor
