James Hempel

James Hempel is a classically trained award-winning landscape and portrait artist whose paintings are inspired by everyday beauty.  Hempel has exhibited extensively in gallery, museum and national juried shows.  His paintings and portrait commissions are found in numerous private and corporate collections, including The St. Joe Company, Northwest Mutual Life, Foley and Lardner, Ripp Realty and Milwaukee Bank.  In his words, “I seek to capture the evocative quality of light as it plays across the landscape throughout the daily rhythms and broad span of the seasons.”
