Dee Beard Dean

Dee Beard Dean has been painting all her life.  She was raised in rural Indiana and studied art at the Kendall College of Art and Design and the New York Academy of Art.  She is a passionate and prolific artist who is nationally recognized for her portraits and painterly landscapes. Her greatest inspirations have come from painting en plein air (on location) where her eye for color and composition and her elevated senses guide her hand in creating paintings filled with evocative light and dramatic shadows.   Dean is an award winning artist and her painting workshops are in great demand. She has been published in regional and national journals and is represented in fine art galleries around the country.  Dean is the founder of Plein Air Painters of the Southeast (PAP-SE), a professional organization of nationally-known artists.  Her first book “Painter By Providence” is in publication.
