Hodges Soileau has had a successful 25 year illustration career, his art gracing the covers of more than 300 book covers, and was a long-standing member of the prestigious Society of Illustrators in New York.  However, now he paints subjects that are of personal interest.   Soileau has had many shows throughout the US and has received awards in the 2004 Oil Painters of America Eastern Regional Exhibition, 2006 Oil Painters of America National Exhibition, 2007 International Portrait Competition (Portrait Society of America), and 2009 Portraits of Women (Portrait Society of America).   His work hangs in numerous collections, including the United States Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, and Golf Digest Magazine.  Soileau is a Signature member of the Oil Painters of America.
