Harold Frontz

Harold Frontz has been strongly influenced by artists of the Massachusetts Cape Ann School.  He has studied with Gloucester artist Charles Movalli and received instruction from the Mounts Bay Art Centre in Newlyn, England.  Frontz has a Masters in Social Work, a Doctorate in Counseling and has worked for over 35 years as a behavioral healthcare professional.  In his words, "Affecting and methodological aspects of painting are equally important to me as my initial emotional response to a subject provides the incentive to paint and the technical aspects direct me through the painting.” Frontz's pieces are in numerous private collections.
